Company Overview:

Morris Plains Liberty Gas & Convenience store has been in business for three years. We built our business on great customer service and a friendly staff. We are a small family business where everyone works together to achieve a successful business environment.
Our goals are to increase the volume and profitably. We intend to make this a “destination” store for those seeking quick “food and snack” items and minor grocery needs. Our store is open 7 days a week from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm.


Position Overview:
Supervise daily in store operations -

The Assistant Manager we are seeking is a responsible motivated person who will make our store thrive – in terms of improving internal operations, product tracking, staffing and scheduling. This person will create an atmosphere to build our customer base and sales.

A major responsibility will be to keep the inventory database accurate and up to date. The ability to build “customer friendly” relationships is imperative. This position reports to the Operations Manager, but individual ideas and creativity are expected. We are looking for a long term employee seeking growth opportunity.

Basic training is provided. Weekend hours are required.

Duties:

Primary responsibilities are listed below:


•Improve processes and procedures for daily in store activities
•Hire competent and effective support staff, as needed - ie. Cashiers and Stockers
•Schedule, train and supervise Support Staff
•Execute Customer Surveys and Promotions, as provided by management
•Inventory: keeping stock on shelves; maintaining “ordering list”
•Insure cleanliness and organization of store
•Open and close location when needed

Qualifications:

•Ability to guide and motivate support staff
•Outgoing and Personable
•Organization and computer skills are required

Other required skills include:
•Ability to learn our systems and equipment
•Prioritizing daily tasks and the ability to delegate, as well as multitask are a necessity
